Let us acknowledge the visionaries of Uttarakhand Govt. who bestowed Dehradun with its first Government Degree College in 2014. The college was established under the aegis of the Govt. of Uttarakhand at a serene and scenic site close to the confluence of Song and Bandal rivers in Maldevta (Raipur). Its functional journey started with undergraduate degree courses in arts and commerce. We have also introduced the faculty of science and postgraduate degree programs with the commitment to extend quality education to a more extensive section of society. Our core objective is to build an institute of higher learnings with a focus on skill development and capacity building, which aligns with the overarching interest of the nation. Here, our faculty, staff, associates, and students together construct a nurturing academic environment, enabling the aspiring seekers to expand their intellectual horizons.

Apart from disseminating subject matter knowledge, we also engage students in holistic personality development and career orientation programs. Our fraternity includes representation from a diverse range of economic, cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds that adumbrates our spirit of inclusivity and pluralism. I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Govt. P. G. College, Maldevta (Raipur) family for making education accessible, further in the foothills of Garhwal region. Together, we shall keep thriving towards the pursuit of excellence in pedagogy and research and share our responsibility to shape 21st-century citizens of India.
